1. Research & Shortlist Universities  

  •  Identify leading universities that offer your program (Harvard, MIT, Stanford, NYU, etc.)  
  •  Review admission requirements and deadlines  
  •  Compare tuition costs, scholarships, and living expenses  

2. Prepare for Standardized Tests  

  • Take the necessary tests (SAT/ACT for undergraduate programs, GRE/GMAT for graduate programs).  
  • Prepare a portfolio for Film & Media if required.  
  • Take the TOEFL/IELTS to demonstrate proficiency in English.  

3. Application Process

  • Prepare and submit applications using the Common App or university portals.
  • Craft a compelling Statement of Purpose (SOP).
  • Obtain Letters of Recommendation (LORs).
  • Provide academic transcripts.  

4. Financial Planning

  • Check tuition fees and the cost of living  
  • Apply for scholarships and financial aid  
  • Arrange bank statements for proof of funds (for visa purposes)  

5. Student Visa (F-1 Visa)  

  • Obtain your I-20 form from the university.  
  • Pay the SEVIS fee ($350).  
  • Schedule and attend a visa interview at the U.S. embassy.  
  • Get your F-1 visa approved.  

6. Travel & Accommodation

  • Book your flight tickets  
  • Arrange on-campus or off-campus housing  
  • Pack necessary documents (passport, visa, I-20, financial proof, acceptance letter)  

7. Health & Insurance  

  • Get mandatory health insurance  
  • Complete required vaccinations  
  • Carry necessary prescriptions and medications

  • Open a bank account in the U.S.  
  • Get a SIM card for your phone in the U.S.
